These companies are finding it hard to get advertising methods through to potential customers, they find it so hard they are willing to 'bribe' them with a a Free gift to get them to try out their product.

Advertising on TV can cost upto 1 million pounds, the company may not even make any new customers out of this method.

By paying the free gift site only for customers they know have actually tried their product they are saving a great deal of money and time.

Every time a new customer signs up for an offer through the free gift site. The offer company (i.e. Lovefilm) pays the free gift site a set amount, around £20.

When you complete an offer for one of these companys they pay the free gift site a set amount.

So for example you wanted a Free Apple iPod Shuffle.

You sign up and complete and offer, the free gift site has gained £20, you refer two of your friends (as needed for iPod Shuffle) The free gift site now has £60, this is enough to pay for the 1GB iPod Shuffle. (iPod Shuffles retial at around £49).

Although only a small amount of profit has been made, more can be done so by buying them in bulk. Other offers pay a different set amount some over £25!
